Possibility for customers to choose the time period#1659

I would like to suggest another feature: a possibility for customers to choose the time period themselves.

For example, I have a bookable resource such as a room or item and would like to allow the customer to choose the booking period themselves. The customer can therefore decide for themselves whether they want to book 1 hour or 2.5 hours. I currently solve this by creating 30-minute increments for the service and creating them as services. For example, meeting room 1 hour, meeting room 1.5 hours, meeting room 2 hours, etc. This creates a lot of services and makes it very confusing. I also tried to use the “extras” feature for this but unfortunately it doesn´t work with group bookings in this way.

It would be great if this could be implemented differently by having a service where the customer can choose the duration themselves. Maybe in combination with a calendar view for customers they could quickly see if an appointment is possible and then choose the duration based on the starting time. It could work like other calendars do it…example in the screenshot. Thanks a lot in advance.
