Make the "Email" field optional for "New Customer > Add Customer" when adding walk-in clients. However, keep it mandatory for customers who pre-book or book online.#1722

?

As a salon owner, our main goal is to collect as much client information as possible. However, there are instances where clients do not have an email address. Currently, the system allows us to mark email as “Non-Mandatory,” which is helpful. However, we’ve observed that clients booking online are now skipping adding their email, which contradicts our primary intention.

I would like to propose the following solution:

  1. Walk-ins: When adding a customer manually on the spot, the email field can remain non-mandatory since the receptionist typically enters their details.

  2. Online Booking: For clients using the online booking system, the email field should be mandatory, as it is essential for their future logins and communication.

In essence, I suggest implementing a feature where the “mandatory email” option can be segmented based on how the client is added either manually for walk-ins or via online booking where the customer registers themselves.
