Booking with resources (eg. for rooms, equipment, ...)#326

For our use case, we need to be able to a) book rooms (automatic assignment and blocking of time slots when no free rooms are available) and sometimes book additional equipment (eg a room with a projector).

RENTALS
Shared pooled resources would be idea for rental equipment, party rooms, group limits (how many groups can are allowed per timeslot).

UPSELLS
Would also love to attached resources as add ons. So a party room as an add on, shares inventory. The same item can be attached to multuiple services without out over booking the resource.

this is super important for dr offices, music schools, etc.

This is one of the features I just emailed them about. It’s discouraging to see that this was requessted 10 months ago, and nothing has been done.

If this thread that is over a year old is merged with a thread that is only about 4 months old, does that mean that this has been moved even further into the we will never be getting this in this lifetime option?

This resources should have their own calendar account, so you can trace the availability of the resource.

Yes! We need this! It seems that the TMS team (https://tmsproducts.io/) who also created the powerful wordpress booking plugin called Amelia, had included this feature: https://wpamelia.com/resource-booking/ Let’s get this added to Trafft!

Currently, Trafft is not the best solution for this type of business. It targets services that usually last a couple of hours and do not transfer on another day, but there are possible workarounds that can be exploited.

However, our developers are currently working on the “resources” feature that will expand our reach, while there are also plans to work on the option to provide service across multiple days in the future.

I asked him, “This is not reflected on the roadmap as being worked on. Could you elaborate more on the resources feature that being worked on?”

Do you have a target date for rollout of this feature? I really need it for my photography studio. We have several photographers using the space, and need to book our sessions and the studio room associated withit at the same time.
